This painting was created in homage to Frida Kahlo, an amazing artist of her time! "La Luz" (2003) means "The Light" which Frida Kahlo has become to many who admire her work and life.
About Julie Davis
Julie is multi-talented as a National Award Winning Graphic Designer & Artist. Her formal education includes a BFA in Fine Art from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Texas as well as a MFA in Web Design and New Media, currently in progress, from the Academy of Art University in San Fransisco, California. She has been commissioned for portraits, faux finishes & murals in many private residences & government buildings. Julie works in many mediums to include oil, acrylic, watercolor, digital-media & photography. She spent several years as the Senior Graphic Designer for the Public Affairs & Marketing Office of one of the largest military medical centers in the United States.
